Developers deal likely to set record for D.C.
Real-estate developer Herb Miller and his wife, Patricia, have agreed to sell their Washington, D.C., house in what would likely be a record deal for the nations capital. Neither Miller nor listing agent Mary Grover Ehrgood of Randall Hagner Ltd. would disclose the purchase price or the potential buyers.

The Northampton Alliance Against Trash (NAAT) will have a community cleanup in Weirwood at 8 a.m. Only bagged trash will be accepted. Refrigerators, stoves, old tires etc. will be picked up. Junk cars will be towed with owners signed permission. Volunteers and pickups are needed, call 442-7464.

Nets: Permanent rebuilding?
For sheer atmosphere, none of the Nets' temporary headquarters ever topped the Island Garden. Fans were right near the court. The smell of popcorn and fresh cotton candy was in the air, as were the occasional raindrops when the roof leaked.
