Holiday season extends for decorating winners 

While the decorations may have come down, the 2006 Christmas season is lingering just a bit in the Newburyport area. The winners of the Newburyport Garden Club's first "Holiday Decorating Contest" will have to wait until the end of 2007 to enjoy some of the spotlight.

Rose Society talks about garden enhancement 
The Butte Rose Society will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Chico library on East First Avenue. With winter upon us, all we can do is sit back and visualize what our rose gardens will look like when spring visits us again.
